Halloween is one of those days that I loved as a kid, and not so much as an adult. Creating fun memories for my kids is the only thing that motivates me to participate. There is something magical about dressing up as someone or something else. Trick or treating really is fun for kids. So, we do our best to make it a fun day for the kids.
The whole crew, quite the variety!!
Cody - Batman
Lauren - Renaissance Queen(Her eyes are so sensitive she could barely look for a picture)
Abby - Princess
Sam - Yoda(Who knew that Yoda wore crocs?)
Isaiah - Duck
This kid had a serious amount of fun trick or treating. After the first couple of houses, he decided he should probably give some candy back. He said, "Trick or Treat" and tried to hand candy to the people giving it out. Throughout the night he would say, "I go to next one?" After each house, he said thank you at least 3 times and then, "Let's go show, Daddy,"who was waiting at the end of the driveway with the wagon.
Laila - Chicken(Tincuckoo) She was the cutest little chicken ever as she said, "chick or cheat," and "tink oo." It was adorable. Let me tell you, sister had a death grip on that candy bucket. She could barely walk with it, but she was not going to let it go. I also taught her to flap her wings and say, "Bock, bock bock"
It is so much more fun to celebrate with friends so we went to the Fowlers' house. We ate some Mummy Dogs, Fruit and Chips. Then we headed out to the streets. The boys were really fast and went ahead of us. Chris kept up with them. Rick and I stayed with the girls and Isaiah and Laila. Afterwards the kids came back to examine their loot. There was much trading and bargaining going on. They even shared some with mom and dad!! To top it all off, we came home at 10:00, put the kids down for bed and then turned the clocks back to 9:00.
LOVE the pics! Can't wait to spend time as a family! Our kids will have a blast together.
