~We are in full sick mode around here!
~Number 4(Laila) woke up with a high fever this morning.
~Rick, Sam, Isaiah, Laila, and I were up at 4:30 this morning dealing with their fevers.
~It was actually a sweet time. We came downstairs, put on some Christmas music, turned on the Christmas lights, and took turns tag teaming and cuddling with those 3.
~Every time I look into Laila's and Isaiah's sweet, sick little eyes, my heart breaks thinking about them ever being sick without a Mommy or Daddy to hold them. It reminds me that there are children all over the world who don't have someone to wipe their noses, give them ibuprofen, hug them, kiss them, wipe their tears, etc.
~Isaiah said this morning when he was in my bed, "Mommy, I will never forget this moment. I love you so much."
~Laila said, "Thank you for hugging and kissing me, Mama." Even though she doesn't remember life without me, it is like in her subconscious she remembers not having that in her life.
~I am moving to the next phase of my sick prevention/treatment measures.
~I am sanitizing all door knobs, light switches, remote controls, and handles on cabinets and appliances.
~Blankets and bedding are being washed.
~I am making chicken noodle soup today.
~ I have slushies in the freezer.
~All 4 kids have strep and are on antibiotics of varying kind and doses. Between the doses of ibuprofen and antibiotic and the varying doses according to age, it takes a chart to keep up with it all.
~We are investing in yogurt to keep those antibiotics from destroying their digestive systems!
~In the midst of it all, I am thankful. Thankful for medicine. Thankful for insurance. Thankful for a washing machine. Thankful that we are sick now and hopefully all over it before Christmas. We have so much. We are so blessed.
~I told Abby and Lauren they better watch out. They are the last kids standing!
~Rick woke up with a migraine, hopefully that is all it is.
~Cody's fever finally broke last night after 4 straight days!
~I am looking forward to a weekend of recovery.
