Africa...At Last

We arrived in South Africa safe and sound last night.  Our journey began at 8:30 on Thursday morning as we loaded to truck and headed to the Denver airport
This girl is about to go on the adventure of her life!
We had one of the smoothest check-ins ever!
All 6 of us checked in our 12 bags.  Everything was within the weight limit.
Our first flight took us to Atlanta
Her first time to fly

Joe, Holly, and Chip, our fearless team!
Abby's first airline meal on our 16-hour flight.
She did great!  She slept, watched movies, ate her gluten free food, and listened to her ipod.  Even though that flight is a beat down from being so long, it went as smoothly as it possibly could.
We even got all of our luggage!!
We spent the night at a hotel in Johannesburg called "The Aviator"
 Fabulous accommodations!
Beyond Survival Swazi Team 2013
We ate dinner at an African Grill.  There were various unusual meats eaten.  Chip and Joe were adventurous and ate the ostrich.  Rick was very happy with his Meat Skewer.
Abby and I woke up at 4:00 AM this morning.  That is part of getting adjusted to the new time.  We are looking forward to driving into Swaziland today and taking the team to the Cultural Center to learn all about Swazi culture!!
